Ciara Dixon

Hi, my name is Ciara Dixon! I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, with a concentration in Clinical Psychology, and a minor in Spanish. Within my position, as the PR Director of George Mason’s Her Campus Chapter, I oversee the Instagram and TikTok accounts by ensuring they are continuously updated, analyzing their performance, and making efforts to drive traffic toward said accounts with the intent to increase public visibility.

Over the summer, before returning to Mason this semester for my junior year, I worked as an Activity Aide at a Rehabilitation and Healthcare Facility. One our main tasks was to advertise various activities to residents with the goal of increasing participation in said activities. Although these experiences were not via social media, this background as well as studying psychology gives me more of a psychological understanding of what grasps and gains people’s attention, and what does not.

After graduating undergrad, my goal is to get my master’s degree and eventually doctorate in either Clinical Health Psychology or Rehabilitation Psychology. I aspire to work with both Spanish and English-speaking patients diagnosed with chronic illnesses and help them adapt to life following their diagnosis. Although I am currently pursuing my studies in Virginia, I was born and currently reside in New Jersey. I have a strong interest in fashion, cars, and motorcycles, and am always listening to music. In my free time, I enjoy photography, filming/editing videos, and cooking!
