Crista is a sophmore at NC State University studying Fashion & Textile Management. This is her second year writing for Her Campus, and she is very excited!
Outside of Her Campus, Crista serves leadership roles of 2 clubs and is a participating member in another club. Crista co-leads NC State Folklorico Club, which is a club that celebrates Mexican culture through dance and performance. She has been given the opportunity to perform alongside her club members at different events. This has been a great opportunity thus far for Crista to embrace and share her culture with the NC State community. Crista also is Vice President of Latinos Unidos en Textiles. A textile club at NC State that provides a space for academic and professional growth for Latino students at the Wilson College of Textiles. Through this club she helps plan events and foster a community. Lastly she is a member of Phi Psi Textile Fraternity where she has been given the opportunity to be part of a smaller community within the WCOT. She’s had the chance to be more involved, network and learn more from her peers.
Crista was born in Durham, and raised in Apex, NC with her older sister and younger brother. She enjoys watching shows, discussing fashion, shopping, listening to music, trying new restaurants with her friends, and writing. Crista is a huge lover of rock music, pop music, and alternative music. Some of her favorite artists include Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Arctic Monkeys, and The Strokes. Crista also loves to travel and has been to various countries in Latin America such as Mexico, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico!
