Donnella Smith

Donnella M. Smith is a freshman Political Science major who was born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in the Bronx, NY. Her interest in political science stemmed from her love of history and current events. At the age of fifteen she landed an internship at the Manhattan Borough President's office which solidified her yearning for a career in the political science field. She also loves event planning which she discovered after planning her high school prom as a member of the prom committee. She plans to leave her mark on the world by providing young black women with a safe space where they can express their every dream and fear without being chastised.
