Elise Jones

Hello! My name is Elise, and I'm super interested in joining Her Campus at LSU this semester. I want to join because my area of expertise is in marketing - I absolutely love it. I also want to make new friends.

I've lived in Baton Rouge most of my life. When I graduated high school in May 2022, I moved to New York City to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology and majored in Advertising & Marketing Communications. I lived and studied there for two years, and I recently graduated with my associate's degree this past May. Now, I'm starting a new chapter of my life at LSU. I plan to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Marketing by Fall 2026.

I believe I have a strong understanding of marketing and could be a great addition to the club. I've become familiar in marketing through my education at FIT and different professional experiences. In high school I was an Editorial Intern at Girls' Life Magazine for 8 months. I published 30+ articles on girlslife.com in areas like fashion, wellness, relationships, etc. Currently, I'm a part-time Marketing Coordinator at Reprise Activewear - a small online clothing brand that's based out of NYC. I've been at the company for a year now. My job consists of: creating bi-weekly emails, managing the social accounts, planning campaigns and more.

My personal interests include mental health awareness, sustainability, animal welfare (I love my pet cat), relationships (romantic and non-romantic), event-planning (I've been planning parties/gatherings since I was really little), health and fitness (I love running and soccer) and fashion of course.

I'd absolutely love to join Her Campus at LSU to professionally collaborate and personally connect with members who have similar interests as me. It seems like a welcoming community from what I've seen online!
