Emma Montalbani

DCU '26

I’m Emma, a second-year journalism student at Dublin City University, originally from Italy. Writing has always been my passion, and I've dedicated myself to honing my skills since high school. Now at DCU, I’m particularly excited about digital media and creative writing, exploring how these fields shape our daily lives, especially through social media.

Being part of the vibrant community at DCU has been an incredible opportunity for me. I’ve expanded my skill set while diving into various projects, like hosting a show on our university radio station. These experiences have blended my love for storytelling with essential communication skills, allowing me to connect with a broader audience. As an international student, I appreciate the unique perspective I bring to discussions and am grateful for the chance to share my voice in this new environment.

In high school, I was actively involved in initiatives aimed at empowering women and promoting gender equality—an effort I’m eager to continue here at DCU.

When I’m not busy with assignments or creative projects, you’ll find me curled up with a good book, soaking in nature during walks, or catching up on my favorite music and podcasts. With my diverse experiences and genuine passion for storytelling, I aim to inspire others and contribute positively to the world around me.
