Storytelling, breaking news and a love for people is why Hallie Brown is so passionate about journalism. She's lived in Greenville and Rock Hill, South Carolina. Prior to joining the Winthrop Close Up team in August 2018, she completed an internship at WYFF-4 in Greenville, South Carolina. Hallie Graduated from Greenville Tech Charter High school Cum Laude and then transferred to Winthrop University as a junior. She has worked in the Mass Communication department for a year. She has a YouTube Channel, HallieBTV with over 35,000 views where she talks about make-up, hair, and life. Prior to coming to college she volunteered as a youth group leader for two years, where she sung on the praise team and was a small group leader who ministered to young girls about how to bring God into their everyday life. Also She is a member of the National Beta Club, Tau Sigma honor society for transfer students, Gamma Beta Phi honor society for community service and leadership, and Kappa Tau Alpha honor society for communication and journalism at Winthrop University.
