Helena Howland is the Marketing and Publicity Director of the Her Campus Chapter at the University of Victoria. Within this role, Helena is in charge of all things chapter promotion! This includes marketing and publicizing events and the club on campus.
Helena is currently in her fourth year, finishing up her degree in political science with a minor in journalism and professional writing, with a specialty in gender studies. Helena joined HerCampus in the fall of 2023.
In her spare time, Helena loves spending time with her friends and family, as well as reading the newest headline on CNN or binge reading a fantasy novel. Because of her specialty in gender and womens studies, she also volunteers win the Anti-Violence Project at the University of Victoria which specializes in helping survivors of sexual violence. She hopes one day to be combining her love of journalism and gender studies by writing articles on gender inequality.
