Hrishita Sharma

My name is Hrishita Sharma and I am a third-year B. Tech student at the Manipal University Jaipur campus. I have cultivated a love for the area of technology and various related works that I am currently taking and have done in the past.
Apart from the classroom, I am very social and an active user of many social media platforms where I am free to express and interact with different groups.
Another activity that gives me much satisfaction in my life is reading, as it makes me curious and helps to expand my horizons. Also, I like arguing for I can freely express my opinions and participate in arguments or discussions.
While studying at Manipal University I have been actively contributing to various teams where I took on leadership responsibilities and worked on improving my organizational and communication skills.
In LITMUS, the official reading, writing, and debating society of Manipal University,I was a senior coordinator in DRS, the reading society and Arcadia, the MUNing society. These roles enabled me to be a team player, plan and facilitate functions, and encourage people in my college to read diverse materials.
Today I am the Director of Social Media for the Directorate of Alumni Relations, therefore being responsible for the online presence of our organization and further coordination with alumni.
As for the upcoming academic year, I will be glad to be the General Secretary of the HerCampus MUJ chapter. In this regard, it will be my goal to foster the development of a diverse community in which students can voice and discuss their experiences, and find encouragement and inspiration in the accomplishments of others. By participating in these societies and positions, I have acquired essential skills in leadership, teamwork, and communication, which I shall consider using throughout my career path in the future.
