Jasmine Escalante

Hi Everyone !

My name is Jasmine Escalante, a Senior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I am studying Global Studies and would love to pursue something in Marketing after graduation! I grew up in the Southside of Chicago, in the Gage Park area. Growing up in a big city has allowed me to become more creative and I am able to explore new places every week. I enjoy getting to know people from different backgrounds, I love traveling and love taking photos and recordings of my everyday life. In the Spring of 2023, I had the opportunity to study in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I am a new member of Her Campus and I love it. I wanted to become part of the Her Campus community because of the self-growth and experience that comes out of it. My personal interests consist of sharing my travels and life experiences with people from different social media. The social media platforms being Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.

I am currently working casually at a nursing home in Lincoln Park, which is a neighborhood in Chicago. I work as an assistant for the head of Medical Records and I also help the nurse of Quality Assurance with paperwork. Outside of work, I like to relax by listening to podcasts, listening to music, or trying out new restaurants and cafes. I am actually in the works of starting my own podcast for streaming!
