My name is Jean and I am a junior at NC State University. I'm currently majoring in Political Science in hopes to go to law school after I finish my undergraduate degree. In addition to studying for the LSAT exam and pursuing undergraduate research, I wanted to pursue a fun hobby on the side. Hence, I decided to join the HER Campus chapter at NC State!
Recently, I have been trying to cut back on overconsumption and practicing the delay of gratification. I hope to be able to write about my journey to become mindful of my spending habits, encouraging others to do the same. I think that health and wellness are essential priorities. However, too much restriction can have detrimental consequences. In learning through others and journaling my own experiences through blogs, I want to adopt a healthy and sustainable balance in my lifestyle and encourage others to implement such practices as well.
I was born and raised in Thailand the majority of my life. Given this background, I want to emphasize the importance of cultural diversity and awareness. I believe that, through this platform and opportunity, I will be able to introduce others to meaningful cultural perspectives beyond the Western scope.
