Hey ladies

i love yerba, vintage clothes, and sad sad stories; i'm just a girl :)

For real though, hello! I’m an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia studying statistics and data science! I wanted to become a part of the UVA Her Campus team this semester, mainly as a creative outlet but also to improve my writing craft. I feel like everyone needs to get in touch with their womanhood no matter what career path they're in, and what better way to do that than to write about the woman's experience!

Another fun fact about me is that I was born and raised in Texas (howdy). I do indeed miss the food and the warmth, but bagels and the season of fall sure make up for it. I’m probably going to end up using “y’all” a lot in my articles so bear with me on that. I am a proud member of the Virginia Epsilon Pi Beta Phi chapter where I currently serve as the Vice President of Operations (I do this for fun bc I just love Pi Phi so much).

Allow me to elaborate on some of my hobbies:
I enjoy movies (no I don’t have a letterbox that is not enjoying movies), reading (current read is The Bell Jar right now: i hear its a lovely little rom com 😃), going to concerts (noticed how I didn’t say listening to music? yeah thats right LIVE music. i've been to 37 concerts and counting), and building houses (habitat for humanity volunteer).

I’m just so excited for this opportunity I am BURSTING with things to write about, like an unhealthy amount. A goal I set for myself this year is that I want someone to find my article during a midnight spiral and for it to help her go to sleep. To let the crowds have their laughs.
