Kaitlyn Harris

My name is Kaitlyn Harris I'm from Boston, Massachusetts, and am a student at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. I am studying Spanish and communications. I am passionate about developing the ability to connect with others and therefore being able to feel knowledgeable about myself and my surroundings. As I was raised in Boston, Massachusetts, I was afforded the opportunity to experience a plethora of different cultures and communities. I have a strong interest in experiencing different cultures and livelihoods which I intend to pursue through involvement with teaching positions abroad in the future. Here at the university, I indulge in my passions for exploration with others and nature through our yoga classes, the Outdoors Club, the Cape Verdean Student Association, and the Perennial gardening initiative. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, doing yoga, researching and practicing mindfulness routines, crocheting, and writing poetry.
