Kristen Powers

Hello! My name is Kristen Powers, I am currently a junior studying Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and minor in Communications at Marist College. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York where I attended a small private Catholic all girls high school. During high school I held multiple leadership positions in student government, multiple clubs and served as captain for two varsity sports. As I entered my sophomore year at Marist, Her Campus was introduced to me and I immediately became obsessed. I love the idea of empowering college women through writing and organizing activities where girls can be girls and have fun together especially after attending an all girls school. I have a deep passion for traveling, being exposed to different cultures and have visited over 28 countries. I absolutely love the beach and spend my summers as an ocean lifeguard. I believe the goals I have set for myself to be an inspirational female leader greatly align with those of many women involved in Her Campus. It would be a pleasure to write for Her Campus!
