Hi my name is Kylie Hudson and I am from Leesburg, Virginia. I am a Sophomore majoring in Creative Writing at Virginia Tech. Although I love my Creative Writing classes thus far, I am thinking about switching my major to Multimedia Journalism and keep a Creative Writing minor as it aligns better with my future career goals.
As for my professional background I have worked as a hostess and lifeguard back home. I don't have much professional experience in writing yet but I'm planning on finding an internship in D.C. this upcoming summer. Even though I am a bit unexperienced professionally, I am the friend everyone goes to when they get assigned an essay and need help proof reading or brainstorming. Some of my strengths include time management, quick learning, great social skills, quick thinking and leadership skills.
Some of my personal interests outside of writing include going on hikes, swimming, reading, going to concerts, movie nights and dinner with friends. I love trying new foods and new experiences. My top three favorite concerts are Stevie Nicks/ Billy Joel, Phoebe Bridgers and Harry Styles. A lot of my writing reflects the music and tv shows I enjoy like Normal People, Flea Bag, and Peaky Blinders. So excited to get involved!!
