Leilani Adams is the Social Media Manager at Her Campus Baylor. She works closely with the Marketing and Social Media Director on the Community Committee. Together, plan and advertise Her Campus events and articles.
Outside of Her Campus, she has maintained the roles of Key Club President, Varsity Cheer Captain, and Central Texas Red Cross Youth Executive Board Engagement Officer throughout her years in high school. These positions led her to manage the cheer team's social media, notifying the student body about important spirit events. Her role as Key Club President resulted in operating the website updating all community service events and tracking member service points. As an Engagement Officer of the Red Cross Youth Executive Board, she had the duty of connecting with youth volunteers about potential volunteer opportunities they're interested in and coordinating disaster prevention workshops, Smoke the Alarm, and blood drives. She is currently a freshman undergraduate at Baylor University, involved in the American Medical Women's Association, Black Student Union, and Freshman Action Team.
Her motivation for joining Her Campus Baylor originates from her passion for spreading light on minority women through social networking in all areas of life including fashion, beauty, and education. In her spare time, she loves to read rom-com books, watch Marvel marathons, and tumble. She currently has one leopard gecko named Kujo and has had a Yorkie named Kandi for fourteen years. Her future goals include earning a bachelor's degree in science and entering medical or PA school to become an obstetrician/gynecologist and own her own practice to reduce the mortality rate among black women in labor.
