Lex Tariq is a writer for Her Campus as part of the chapter for the Mayagüez campus of the University of Puerto Rico. As a computer engineering student, his academic path is not only focused on emphasizing the ethical uses of software in the STEM community, but also on actively advocating for greater female representation in STEM fields and supporting female-led initiatives.
You’re likely to find Lex next to the palm trees on campus either reviewing his class notes or listening to some Lana Del Rey. But if he isn’t there, he might just be walking around town, shopping at the mall, studying at a coffee shop, or watching local TV with his grandparents at home.
