Lucy Blanks

Lucy is an editor for the Culture section of Her Campus at the King's College London (KCL) chapter.

Lucy is 20 years old, from Cornwall in the UK, and in her third and final year studying English Language and Linguistics at KCL. She spent her last semester studying abroad at the University of Melbourne. During her time in Melbourne, Lucy had the opportunity to communicate, engage and network with a diverse global community of students enriching her understanding of diverse cultures, media landscapes and prevalent cultural issues beyond the UK.

Besides her editorial role, Lucy has previously been involved in KCL’s Dance Society where she has competed in various competitions around the country and has choreographed for and performed in several KCL Dance Society annual productions. This year she has also adopted the role of graphic designer for KCL’s Art Society where she creates and posts eye-catching graphics to promote a range of art events on Instagram.

Outside of University, Lucy’s interests include: drawing, painting, dancing, writing, going out, participating in pub quizzes, going to the theatre, visiting art galleries and swimming in the sea in Cornwall (no matter how cold it is!) She loves travelling and exploring new places and is always up for going on new adventures!
