Madisen is a Mississauga native embarking on her first-year journey in Public Affairs and Policy Management. Born and raised in the vibrant city, she brings a blend of determination and compassion to her academics. Despite her rigorous studies, Madisen finds solace in the simple pleasures of life, indulging in her questionable interests of reading, journaling, and unwinding with episodes from The Real Housewives franchise on Hayu.
Beyond the confines of school, Madisen is deeply committed to fostering Black joy, rejuvenation, and visibility within her community. Motivated by a desire to uplift and empower, she envisions a future where Black communities not only survive but thrive despite the systemic oppression they face. With her degree, Madisen aspires to be a catalyst for positive change, advocating for policies and initiatives that address the unique challenges and barriers encountered by Black individuals and communities.
