Madison Dashnaw

My name is Madison Dashnaw, but you can just call me Maddy or MJ! I am currently a Sophomore at Eastern Connecticut State University, studying as a triple major in, Women and Gender Studies, Sociology and History. I first found out about HER Campus through several students at the university, and I knew I just had to join!

I am very involved on campus both serving in my student government association, and in several e-boards for clubs on campus. I do very diverse things on campus, so writing for HER Campus better helps me serve the female population both on and off campus. I am a very artistic person, so being allowed to dabble in different writing styles is invigorating for my creative heart.

Some of my other hobbies include playing video games, drawing, reading, gardening, watching anime, playing instruments, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. I am an animal person, and currently have two cats and a dog. When I can I like to volunteer at my local animal shelter. Being a part of the Eastern community has enriched and broadened my friendships and allowed me to make meaningful connections with others in my age group. By being a part of HER Campus, I hope to create articles which strengthen the community.
