Maggie Brown is a Freshman at North Carolina State University and is looking forward to her first year on the Her Campus team! Maggie was born and raised in Wake Forest, NC and is currently in the Exploratory Studies program at NCSU but she has always loved English courses, especially those that focus on writing.
Maggie attended Heritage High School and graduated with honors in June of 2024. During her time in high school, she was a member of Key Club, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, Rho Kappa, served as event point of contact and spirit night coordinator for Addis Jemari’s Teen Board, a junior volunteer at WakeMed North Hospital, and served on a youth council. Maggie played high school volleyball, club beach volleyball, and worked as a lifeguard, real estate photo editor, and babysitter.
Maggie is the oldest of 3, with two younger sisters ages 16 and 11. In her free time, she enjoys going for walks, cooking with her mom, spending time with her friends, traveling, watching T.V. shows on a never-ending-loop, and listening to music. Some of her favorite artists are Taylor Swift, Megan Moroney, and Chris Stapleton. Her shows that have been on rotation are Sex and the City and Gilmore Girls. She is also a huge fan of watching athletics and loves keeping up with NC State Men’s Basketball and football.
