My name is Maya Le Baron and I'm from Chihuahua, Mexico. I am part of the events team at the Her Campus at Boston chapter. I am specifically part of the large events team which means we organize the big events throughout the semester such as formal and partnerships with other schools.
Outside of Her Campus, I work at the International Literacy Program where I teach English to adult learners trying to earn their GED diploma. I am also part of other clubs such as Dean’s Host and member of the Child Health Equity Research Lab. I am currently a junior at Boston University majoring in Education and Human Development specializing in Educational Design with a minor in Business Administration. This is my first semester here as a transfer student and I have lived in the US for almost three years already for academic purposes.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the movies, trying new restaurants and coffee places, and traveling. I have traveled to more than 5 countries including Switzerland, China, France, England, and Belgium. I can speak three languages; Spanish, English, and French and can have full-conversations in all of them.
