Melinda is a second year student at the University of Virginia. She intends to major in biology on the pre-med track. Beyond academics, she contributes to UVA's Her Campus chapter as part of the writing, TikTok, and Twitter teams.
Outside of Her Campus, Melinda is the founder of Black Girls United and a proud member of the Organization of African Students, Black Student Alliance, and PENSA
Melinda's enjoys various pursuits. In her free time, she writes poetry, vlogs, works out, and explores fashion.
