Nicole Abdullaeva is a new member of Her Campus at NC State. As a prospective writer, she hopes to help her university’s chapter flourish with ideas for articles. She is currently aiming towards participating in a couple of photoshoots for Her Campus sponsors.
Nicole has a diverse background, as someone whose childhood was spent living and traveling across the country and abroad. From dreaming of becoming a fashion designer in her early years, she has now begun her college journey intending to major in Computer Science with a concentration in artificial intelligence at NC State’s College of Engineering. Being a person who enjoys helping others, she developed a resourceful website for her high school’s ambassador program that helped new students adapt to school. Additionally, she excelled her coding skills by becoming a Certified Associate Python Programmer and explored web development and design. Nicole was also a part of the Speech and Debate program, as well as Law Club at her high school. She has experience with public speaking, debating and being an attorney at a mock trial. With a passion for politics and social justice she is considering a future with law school, to enter the field as a STEM professional and help set regulations on the misuse of AI.
Nicole was born in San Francisco, CA but lived several years in Washington state and Virginia; then moved to Tashkent, Uzbekistan and spent 5 years there. Returning back to the U.S to NC in 2021, before leaving for college, she has since settled in Holly Springs, NC, with her family. In her free time, Nicole enjoys listening to music, learning languages (she speaks 5), playing the piano, watching soccer, and shopping. She dreams of traveling to London and the south of France.
