Precious Mumba is a Social Media Team Member with Her Campus at Carleton. Her role involves the promotion of upcoming events through Her Campus’ social media pages, monitoring all platforms ensuring that they are kept up to date, and actively engaging with the online community.
Precious is extremely passionate about media. Before joining Her Campus, she worked and volunteered in multiple social media roles with several other organizations. She spent a year working as a Media Representative with Carleton University’s Black Student Alliance. There, she managed multiple social media platforms and created all graphics that were uploaded to the organization’s media pages. Similarly, Precious volunteered with the Ottawa non-profit organization known as Sisterhoodhub, overseeing all media activities and steering Sisterhood Hub's social pages. Precious is currently completing her final year of her undergraduate degree in Global and International Studies, specializing in Global Media and Communications.
Outside of the media sphere, Precious enjoys everything that involves creativity. She indulges in her artistic passions, sketching and painting her way to wonder. Music is her muse, and her trusty headphones are always within arm's reach, accompanying her through life's daily adventures. She’s a musical explorer always uncovering new artists across various genres, but there's something about afrobeat that really strikes a chord with her.
