Hi everyone! My name is Sarah Nitert and I am currently in my fourth year at Queen's University, where I’m pursuing a degree in Sociology as well as my Early Childhood Education at Algonquin College as well. I’ve always been passionate about working with children and making a positive impact through education. My experience includes working with preschoolers and leading creative educational projects that encourage language development and artistic expression. After graduation, I plan to attend teacher’s college to continue pursuing my dream of becoming an educator.
As the co-chair of HER Campus at Queen's University, I’m proud to lead an amazing team that manages editorial content, event planning, and community outreach. One of my favorite parts of this role is organizing campus events and securing exciting collaborations with brands like Topicals and Hero Cosmetics to support our club's activities. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see our chapter grow and make a meaningful impact on campus life.
Outside of academics and HER Campus, I’m passionate about writing, social advocacy, and promoting diversity in media. As someone with vitiligo, I’m dedicated to encouraging more representation of people with unique stories and appearances in the public eye. In my free time, I love fostering puppies, exploring creative projects, and working on initiatives that blend my love for education, art, and social change.
