Sofie Paternite

My name is Sofia (Sofie) Paternite, and I am a sophomore journalism major in the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. I am originally from South Orange, NJ, and am now located in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. I have experience with writing in my high school’s newspaper, WMUC, and working with startup media companies in researching and analyzing media accuracy, but I also am interested in broadcast journalism, podcasting, and video production. I play on the Club Field Hockey Team here at UMD and am also a part of Greek life. Additionally, I am a sneaker collector, pottery lover, and I could spend all day watching “The Blacklist.”
