Hii! I am Sophie and the first time I thought about working in journalism was, when I was twelve and realized that journalists get to meet and talk to One Direction. Still a big fan of One Direction today, my ideas of journalism and the reasons why I am interested in working in journalism have changed a bit. I‘ve always loved to tell stories and talking to people and hearing their stories has always been my biggest inspiration. That‘s why I love traveling so much and try to include it in my life as much as possible.
Besides my home country Germany I have lived in Ireland and Australia and moved to Canada this year for my Master‘s Degree. To figure out which parts of journalism I like I have worked with different radio stations, a TV company and wrote for an online blog. I never stop learning and find different things I am interested in every day.
