Summer Rochon

I am a second-year environmental studies major, with a minor is sociology. I am passionate about environmental and social justice issues and hope to make an impact in both those areas in my future career. My career aspirations include possible becoming a teacher, working with environmental companies or writing environmental journals. I pursue my interests in environmental issues through shoreline cleanups, volunteering at my community garden and involving myself in green clubs at Queens.

My hobbies include reading, journalling, swimming, baking and going on bike rides. I grew up in Cobourg ON which is a small town on Lake Ontario. My favourite part about growing up in a small town is that everyone knows each other, and getting involved was a lot easier. Some of my favourite activities to do in Kingston include; swimming at the pier, shopping at the sidewalk sales and going to the food festivals.
