Valeria Kolster is a freshman journalism and communication double major at Texas A&M University. She was born in South America and now lives in Dallas, Texas. She is part of the Writing and Editing Committee for the Her Campus Chapter at Texas A&M. As a member of this committee, she will write at least six articles per semester and spread the word on Her Campus in order to get more members involved.
Beyond Her Campus, Valeria is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and ASSIST (Aggies Selflessly Serving in Shaping Tomorrow), a Freshman Leadership Organization on campus. She wrote articles for her high school newspaper, The Caledonian, and was editor of that newspaper during her senior year.
In her free time, Valeria enjoys a variety of activities, including playing tennis, going on walks with her dog, and listening to music, especially when it is on her CD player. She played varsity tennis in high school and is now a casual player. Her dog, Malta, is a labrador and pit bull mix, and Valeria has endless love for her four year old “Baby”. Valeria’s music taste is varied between Spanish and English songs. Some of her favorite singers include Taylor Swift and Shawn Mendes, but her all time favorite is Conan Gray.
