Valeria Kolster is a freshman journalism and communication double major at Texas A&M University. She was born in South America and now lives in Dallas, Texas. She is part of the Writing and Editing Committee for the Her Campus Chapter at Texas A&M.
Beyond Her Campus, Valeria is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and ASSIST (Aggies Selflessly Serving in Shaping Tomorrow), a Freshman Leadership Organization on campus. She also works for the student newspaper at Texas A&M, the Battalion. Valeria wrote articles for her high school newspaper, The Caledonian, and was editor of that newspaper during her senior year.
In her free time, Valeria enjoys a variety of activities, including playing tennis, going on walks with her dog, and listening to hours of music. She played varsity tennis in high school and is now a casual player. Her dog, Malta, is a labrador and pit bull mix, and Valeria has endless love for her four year old “Baby”. Valeria’s music taste is varied between Spanish and English songs. She really enjoys concerts. Some of her favorite singers include Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, and Olivia Rodrigo, but her all time favorite is Conan Gray.
