1. Dr. Pepper

Award: $2,500 -$100,000
Each year, Dr. Pepper has a $1,000,000 tuition giveaway for students between the ages of 18 and 24. Just record a video of yourself explaining why you think you deserve the scholarship and submit it on their website by the appropriate deadline!

2. Wavelet Foundation
Deadline: November 18, 2011
Award: $2,500
Each year, the Wavelet Foundation awards three students a scholarship. They look for individuals who are highly motivated and are committed to bettering the lives of others in different communities around the world. This is a merit-based scholarship, so transcripts and recommendations are key! Make sure you talk to your professors or current employers about letters of recommendation in advance.

Award: $200
The National Organization for Women Foundation is holding their annual poster contest in celebration of their Love Your Body campaign. Design and create a poster illustrating the beauty and love in the female body and send in a hard 9”x12” copy. It’s a great way to promote female empowerment and earn scholarship money at the same time!

Award: $1,000
Have a blog? Bogging Scholarship is offering a scholarship for college-age bloggers who write about their passions. Those who post about the upcoming 57th presidential election will be judged based on their content and social validation (your audience’s response).

5. Fashion Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000 – $25,000
If you’re interested in fashion, you should definitely look into this scholarship opportunity! FSF is a national non-profit that works to encourage those interested in fashion to pursue careers in the industry. They award about 100 $5,000 scholarships and three $25,000 scholarships each year. However, only certain schools qualify. Check to see if yours does!

6. New York Women in Communications

Award: $2,000 – $10,000
Each year, New York Women in Communications (NYWICI) awards about 15-20 scholarships to students each year. A major in a communications-related field is required, so ladies who are interested in advertising, English, film, journalism, etc. are encouraged to apply! Some of the scholarships come with internships and commitments to meetings in New York, so make sure you’re available for those dates before you fill out an application!

Award: $1,000 – $7,500
The Phillips Foundation offers a Ronald Reagan College Leaders Scholarship Program. It pays tribute to Ronald Reagan’s achievements as former president, and recognizes future leaders who are promoting American values on college campuses. You must be a sophomore to apply, and an essay of 500-700 words is required. Make sure you tell them about all of the great leadership-related activities you’re involved in on campus!

Abbot and Fenner Business Consultants are committed to helping ambitious students who aim to succeed in the business world.
