Learn Everything You Need to Know to Survive Your Internship–RSVP Now!

When you step into your summer internship, you really have no idea what to expect. Sure, you went in for an interview or Skyped with the internship coordinator, but other than that you’re pretty much going in blindly. Mom and Dad, still struggling with the concept of these “internships” to begin with, aren’t much help either. You’ve been reading Her Campus non-stop, memorizing what business casual really means and what you shouldn’t share with your fellow interns and co-workers. But you still have a million more questions about not just how to survive your internship—but to excel at it.

Fortunately, Her Campus has your back (no one knows internships like we do!). We’re partnering with General Assembly for our Summer Internships 101 workshop in NYC on June 18. Her Campus co-founders Annie Wang and Stephanie Kaplan Lewis will be on hand to tell you what to expect in the beginning of your internship, how to set internship goals for yourself, help you enhance a sub-par internship experience and, most importantly, how to turn your internship into a job offer. Because that’s what it’s all about, right?

The event will be at General Assembly New York City at 902 Broadway, 4th Floor NY, NY — but ANYONE can watch and participate from the comfort of their bed. In-person attendees can RSVP here and those watching via the live stream can RSVP here.

The event is meant to be interactive and to answer your questions about your internship experience. Anyone can tweet questions for Stephanie and Annie ahead of time and during the live stream using the hashtag #InternFAQ.

Your internship should be a great learning experience – not a source of stress over things like how to behave at an office happy hour. Summer Internships 101 will help you enhance your experience so you focus on the important things and flourish every step of the way! See you there!
