“The Social Network” Wins Golden Globe Best Motion Picture

Wow, who knew Hollywood loved Facebook this much? It took home the best motion picture drama award at the 68th Annual Golden Globes!

The movie which portrays the inception of Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook (based on somewhat of a true story) took home four Golden Globes total…

  • Best Score
  • Best Screenplay
  • Best Director
  • Best Picture, Drama

I think the film has been highly criticized by young people, my friends either loved it or loathed it. Personally, I really enjoyed the movie and was rooting for it all night! I was disappointed Jesse Eisenberg didn’t win best actor (he lost to Colin Firth).

The nominations for the Academy Awards will be announced January 25, and after tonight, it’s obvious The Social Network will also be a major contender for the Academy Awards best motion picture. I wonder what Zuckerberg will have to say about the film now?

What do you think collegiettes ™? Were you surprised the to see The Social Network win best picture at the Golden Globes?  Or do you think it totally deserved it?
