It’s no secret that Friends had some of the best cameos in TV history (Reese Witherspoon! Alec Baldwin!), but which ones really stand out? We ranked our favorites.
14. Hugh Laurie
The actor made a very short appearance on the series when Rachel was flying to London to stop Ross’ wedding. His brutal honesty gave us a sneak peek of who his character would be on House M.D.
13. Jean-Claude Van Damme
The best part about JCVD’s cameo was pretty much the catfight that ensued between Rachel and Monica; it was a memorable episode, to say the least.
12. Sean Penn
Sean Penn’s character was pretty disturbing: he was originally Ursula Buffay’s fiance, until Phoebe blew Ursula’s cover and he developed a crush on Phoebe. It made for some great comedy, though!
11. Julia Roberts
We felt so bad for Chandler when Julia Roberts’ character took her revenge on him for a fourth grade prank, but the actress was a superstar on Friends per usual.
10. Reese Witherspoon
We loved seeing Reese as Rachel’s clueless baby sister Jill.
9. Bruce Willis
We loved to hate Bruce Willis as Ross’ young girlfriend’s dad, but the scene where Willis gives himself a pep talk in the mirror really takes home the prize.
8. Christina Applegate
Christina Applegate was fabulous as Rachel’s obnoxious self-proclaimed “favorite” sister.
7. George Clooney & Noah Wyle
Remember that one time ER met Friends? Good times, good times.
6. Freddie Prinze Jr.
Freddie Prinze Jr. was surprisingly touching (and progressive!) as a male nanny.
5. Robin Williams & Billy Crystal
This cameo did absolutely nothing for the plot, but it was glorious.
4. Danny DeVito
Definite proof that Danny DeVito can play ANY role.
3. Ben Stiller
Ben Stiller’s character’s anger management issues completely slayed us. Well played, Ben.
2. Alec Baldwin
Watch this when you’re having a bad day and thank us later.
1. Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt as “Will from high school” with a large chip on his shoulder is everything.
Which is your favorite Friends cameo, collegiettes?
