Quinta Brunson’s hilarious mockumentary sitcom Abbott Elementary, following the lives of teachers in a Philadelphia public school, returned Sept. 21, leaving Twitter crying laughing at what they were watching. Each week, we’re given comedy gold — I mean, did you see their Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing For A Comedy Series? Brunson knows how to write jokes that appeal to this generation’s humor, and the tone is unmatched.
The excitement each week for a new episode can be felt on social media. Even the Abbott Elementary Twitter account gets involved and engages with fans. Being able to have a platform where the laughs can be shared between one another is amazing — especially because, Twitter being Twitter, the internet doesn’t leave a single joke unnoticed.
With the success of Season 1, many people have been anticipating Season 2, and it has not disappointed yet. With five episodes airing so far on ABC and Hulu (with a new Halloween episode coming on tonight!), you will lose it over these jokes that Twitter caught.
