Season 6 of Netflix’s hit dating series Love is Blind is almost here, and you’re not going to want to miss what it has in store when it drops this Valentine’s Day. Love is Blind is a reality show where singles try to match and fall in love without seeing each other face-to-face, showing viewers and contestants that emotional connection is more important than physical attraction.
Season 6 takes place in Charlotte, North Carolina, where 30 men and women will follow their hearts as some get engaged to each other before ever seeing one another. While everyone on the show is interesting and had a life before their debut on Love is Blind, Amber Desiree (better known as AD) had a really exciting career years before entering the pods, proving that she’ll definitely be the one to watch this season.
According to her LinkedIn, AD went to Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts from 2009 to 2012 and earned a degree in Communications. What’s cool about AD is that while in her 20s, she was New England Patriots cheerleader from 2011-2015.
She was also captain of the squad for some time, but we don’t know exactly when. You may not be aware of it, but this may not be your first time seeing AD on your screen. Back in 2015, she cheered on the Partiots during the 49th Super Bowl.
As well as cheering for the Patriots, AD was also a professional dancer for the Charlotte Hornets aka the The Honeybees from 2017 to 2020. AD’s never said why her cheerleading career ended, but she did tear her ACL back in 2020, which could explain why she stopped cheering and dancing professionally.
While her cheerleading days are over, AD’s athleticism and fitness are still important to her as she enjoys going to the gym at least four times a week. Going into Love Is Blind, AD is looking for a partner who will join her in her workouts.
When she’s not exercising, AD works as a real estate agent. She worked full-time as a luxury leasing consultant for a real estate investment firm, The Connor Group, from December 2020 to April 2021. She started selling homes in June 2021 with Millennial Realty, which is a woman-owned real estate company. Depending on how this season of Love is Blind ends, we won’t know if AD will continue with her career in real estate, but we can assume that she probably knows all the best spots in Charlotte.
Whether you’re a hopeless romantic or just love a good reality TV show, you’re not going to want to miss Season 6 of Love is Blind. AD is already my favorite contestant this season and I hope she gets the happy ending she deserves!
