It may just be a little too late, Mr. and Mrs. Bynes.
After being put on a 72-hour psychiatric hold Monday night, Amanda Bynes’ parents are finally stepping into the picture. Lynn and Rick Bynes will be in court this morning to request a temporary conservatorship to give them control over Amanda’s financial and personal affairs. The two also asked Amanda’s doctors to recommend to a judge that Amanda remain in the hospital for her own safety.
In order for her parents to establish a temporary conservatorship, Lynn and Rick must prove at Amanda does not have the ability to provide for her own physical health, Amanda cannot make sound financial judgments, they can provide a stable home for their daughter, and there are no realistic alternatives to a conservatorship.
If the request is granted, Amanda’s parents will be legally in change of her estate for whatever amount of time the court deems necessary. Her parents also plan, if granted the request, to immediately petition the court to make the conservatorship permanent.
Here’s hoping that the Amanda Bynes Saga finally draws to a close with the results of this hearing!
