Amber Riley: “Why Does Me Being Fat Offend So Many People?”

Amber Riley has officially had enough of body shamers. The Glee star posted a video to her Instagram over the weekend calling out all of the haters who have ever thrown insults at her for being a full-figured woman.

I got some things I need to get off my chest, and my thighs, and my stomach

A video posted by Amber Riley (@msamberpriley) on

“I love all colors, shapes, and sizes. So just so you know, when you come out here and you call me fat, it’s not an insult, dummy. My ass is fat, and the fellas love it. And so do I. So eat it.”

Preach, girl! The video was posted right after Riley underwent dental surgery, so she was, as she admitted, slightly under the influence while filming the video. Regardless, this speech was definitely called for, and we couldn’t agree with her more.

It’s important to stand up for yourself, and we are so proud of Riley for doing so—even if it did take a little post-surgery medication to do so.
