Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s whirlwind romance just keeps getting sweeter. Even though Grande has never met Davidson’s dad, a firefighter who died during 9/11, she is keeping the memory of her fiancé’s father alive.
Fans recently spotted Grande sporting a new tattoo on her ankle while she and her beau were out on the town in Manhattan.
According to PEOPLE, Grande’s new tattoo read “8418,” the badge number of the Saturday Night Live actor’s father, firefighter Scott Davidson.
Davidson has the badge number tattooed on his forearm.
Here is the picture where fans spotted the new tattoo, which is on her left ankle.
This isn’t the first time that the happy couple has shown off special tattoos dedicated to each other. According to Hello Giggles, Davidson debuted a tattoo of Grande’s initials on his thumb, and also has a tattoo of a bunny mask, similar to Grande’s cover art for her last album Dangerous Woman.
But relationship tattoos can be risky. Davidson previously had a tattoo of his ex-girlfriend, Cazzie David, Hello Giggles reports.
According to PEOPLE, Davidson enlisted Jon Messa, a tattoo artist and co-owner of Chinatown’s No Idols Tattoo Shop, to help cover up the tattoo of his ex- girlfriend.
“I did a huge coverup [adding a forest of trees],” Mesa told New York Post‘s Page Six, adding, “After we were done, I told Pete, ‘Hey, dude, let’s just stop with the girlfriend tats until after [Grande’s] your wife.’ ”
“Relationships come and go, and Pete is a really young man. I think that went in one ear and out the other,” Mesa added.
Either way, though, this special tattoo is definitely a sweet gesture on Grande’s part.
I wonder what special tattoos the adorable couple will get next.
