Ariana Grande’s Instagram Post Has Fans Hopeful For New Music

Wait, how has it been three years since Ariana Grande’s last album? The singer released Positions in 2020 and though many of us still hear her music frequently, fans are in need of a new album. When it was revealed that Grande was cast as Glinda in the upcoming live-action Wicked, it seemed we would be waiting a while before we received new music from the singer. But it seems like the wait is almost over because, on Dec. 7, Grande posted a series of photos of her working in a recording studio to Instagram. Of course, Arianators are going crazy over the singer’s post, with many convinced this is a lead-up to the announcement of her seventh studio album.

Fans immediately took to X (aka Twitter) to express their excitement about a potential album release. Many theorized the meaning behind her post, while others are happy they survived the “Ariana Grande drought.”

One certified Twitter fan dug deep, as they concluded that Grande’s post insinuates the release of her seventh studio album because she posted on Dec. 7 and the Instagram post has 7 slides. Meanwhile, a fan on Instagram noticed that Grande posted at 7 a.m. Despite the reasoning behind this theorized motif, Arianators are definitely feeling excited about Grande making music again.

Though Grande’s yet to confirm new music is coming, fans are still looking forward to hearing what she has in store. Many are anticipating that Grande will collaborate with SZA along with Madison Beer, Nicki Minaj, and Taylor Swift.

Actress and singer, Cynthia Erivo, seemingly confirmed Grande’s dropping a new album. Under Grande’s Instagram post, she commented, “no one is ready,” adding, “This project is so freaking perfect.” Does this mean Grande finished recording AG7?

Victoria Monét, who’s besties with Grande, also commented under the Instagram post with, “She’s HOME!!!🤎🤎🤎🥂.”

While there aren’t many details on Grande’s new studio album, such as the release date and whether there will be any collaborations, the singer made it known that she’s working with her longtime composer and producer, Max Martin. He has helped make hit like “Love Me Harder,” “Dangerous Woman,” “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” “Bad To You,” and so much more.

If Grande really does have new music on the way, there’s no doubt 2024 is going to be a good year.
