Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) have been following in their father’s footsteps and hunting down evil supernatural creatures such as monsters and demons for 13 seasons on Supernatural.
In tonight’s mid-season premiere, they’re in trouble — stuck in “The Bad Place” — and a slew of female characters band together to save them. These characters, Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes), Donna Hanscum (Briana Buckmaster), Alex Jones (Katherine Ramdeen), Claire Novak (Kathryn Newton), Patience Turner (Clark Backo), and Kaia Nieves (Yadira Guevara-Prip), are the focus of the potential spin-off series Wayward Sisters. Tonight’s episode will act as a backdoor pilot.
This is one of the first all-female sci-fi genre shows, and Supernatural fans couldn’t be more excited.

Dear neighbors,
You are going to hear a lot of unholy noises tonight coming from the apartment next to/behind/beneath/across from you. No, I am not being murdered.
I am simply expressing my love and gratitude for #WaywardSisters in the only way I know how: unintelligible squeals.— LittlePopWaywardshop (@little_pop_work) January 18, 2018

Should Wayward Sisters be greenlit as a series, executive producer Andrew Dabb stated that hiring female writers, directors and crew members will be an important focus.
I’m 100 percent here for this!
Catch the show tonight at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
