Say Yes to the Dress was sued by a distressed bride who didn’t want her episode to air before her big day, which will take place this May. She didn’t want her fiancĂ©, family and friends to see her in her dress before the wedding date. Seeing the bride in her gown before she says “I do” is known to bring bad luck, so we definitely get where she is coming from.
The bride-to-be, Alexandra Godino, reportedly didn’t even want to be on the show in the first place. While shopping at Kleinfeld’s, she was offered the chance to appear in an episode after another bride backed out suddenly. The bride claims that she made clear the episode could only air after she tied the knot with professional hockey player, Jeff May. Unfortunately, her wishes weren’t granted so she decided to take matters into her own hands.
Sadly, Godino lost her case in court yesterday, and her episode is set to air tonight. The opposing side obviously had their reasons for wanting to air the episode on a certain date, but we think Godino is in the right and her wishes should be granted. It is her big day, after all.
