As someone with a full-fledged coffee dependency, people who are “just not coffee people” never cease to amaze me — I don’t even get out of bed without the promise of a venti waiting for me. But hey, if you identify as one of those people, all the more power to you — because Starbucks’ newest Frappuccino was basically made for you. (Also, are you superhuman? Just wondering.)
That’s right, Starbucks’ latest addition to the Frapp fam is completely caffeine free. On Monday, the coffee chain debuted the Serious Strawberry Frappuccino, which is pretty much summer in a drink.
Made with the same base as the OG Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino (ice, milk and Starbucks’ strawberry infusion blend) the Serious Strawberry Frapp has a top and bottom layer of strawberry fruit puree, and is of course, topped with whipped cream. It will also reportedly be replacing the Strawberries and Cream flavor on the permanent Starbucks menu — meaning that even when it’s freezing months from now, you can still taste summer. And with an Insta-worthy magenta swirled color, truly, what more could you ask for?
Of course, if you just *have* to have your caffeine fix, the Serious Strawberry Frappuccino joins two other recent additions: the Ultra Caramel and Triple Mocah Frappucinos — and cold brew whipped cream are involved in both.
But if you want your mid-week pick-me-up without a side of coffee-induced jitters, the Serious Strawberry Frappuccino will hit stores tomorrow, June 5.Â
