The rumors are true: Cardi B is expecting!
During her Saturday Night Live appearance, Cardi B performed two songs. In her first performance, the Bronx-born rapper performed her hit song “Bodak Yellow” wearing a feathery black and white ensemble, intentionally hiding her stomach, Entertainment Tonight (ET) reports.
But during her second performance, for her song “Be Careful,” Cardi B emerged in a fitted white dress, displaying her baby bump for everyone to see.
She looked absolutely radiant, and the crowd gasps with excitement and began to cheer.
After her performance, according to Us Magazine, the 25-year-old rapper walked backstage to greet her friends, exclaiming, “I’m finally free!”
There had been rumors going around for weeks speculating that Cardi B was expecting her first child with her fiancé, Offset, who proposed to her at a concert in Philadelphia in October 2017, Us Magazine reports.
They both denied the rumors at the time.
According to ET, during a recent interview with Ebro Darden on Beats 1 on Apple Music, the rapper said that fans would have to listen to her new album to find out if she was in fact expecting.
“Well, you know, I just feel like people have to tune in a little bit on my album, and they will know a little bit more,” she said. “Because it’s like, I can’t address all the rumors and everything.”
And while celebrating the her album release at E11EVEN in Miami on Friday night, Cardi B wore a loose-fitting outfit that hid any signs of her pregnancy, ET reports.
Following her announcement of her pregnancy, Cardi B tweeted, “I started winning when the whole world was doubting on me !think imma lose with my little baby counting on me ?”
