Cardi B & Offset Had Their ‘Bronx Fairytale’ Baby Shower & It Was Fabulous, Of Course

It can be hard to find a creative approach to a baby shower that celebrates both the joy of impending parenthood and highlights the expectant couple’s personalities, but leave it to Cardi B to knock the baby shower game out of the park.

This week, Cardi B and her husband Offset celebrated the upcoming birth of their baby girl the only way they know how—with a fantastically outrageous baby shower.

Forget delicate sandwiches and traditional shower games, People reports that the couple’s shower, which highlighted a “Bronx Fairytale” theme, featured a band, dancing, and something called a “Bardi Baby Bodega” where those in attendance “could grab a variety of refreshments and other products.”

The party also featured a children’s library, collecting books to start their little one’s own library (which was my favorite part of the party).

Cardi B had made everyone well aware that her shower would be as fun as she is, telling Rolling Stone, “I don’t like baby showers that be at 5 p.m. in the backyard, eating, cooking hors d’oeuvres.”

An epic bash like the Bronx Fairytale Bardi Shower doesn’t happen overnight—Cardi tweeted last week about the difficulties on planning a shower saying, “Baby shower planning makes me not even wanna do a wedding…so overwhelming.”

People also reports that Cardi’s inability to fly to New York forced her to fly 60 people to Atlanta to participate in the festivities.

If their baby shower was this epic, I can’t wait to see how the couple celebrates when their baby girl is finally here!
