Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger said “I do!”
The couple tied the knot on Saturday in an intimate ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, sources told PEOPLE.
“You can tell today is the happiest day for Katherine. She hasn’t stopped smiling. And Chris seems giddy with excitement,” a source told PEOPLE. “The venue is beautiful. Lots of flowers and greenery everywhere. It’s a very romantic setting for a wedding.”
Bridesmaids wore pink dresses with V-necks and tulle skirts, and the ceremony and reception took place in separate tents on the ranch.
“The whole family took wedding photos, including her parents Maria [Shriver] and Arnold [Schwarzenegger]. Everyone just looked so happy,” the source added.
Guests included the groom’s 6-year-old son Jack, and the bride’s siblings — brothers Patrick and Christopher as well as sister Christina. Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn and Shriver-Schwarzenegger family friend (and Pratt’s Parks and Recreation co-star) Rob Lowe were also in attendance, E! News reports.
During the morning of the wedding, the groom went golfing with Lowe and friends. Arnold and sons Patrick Schwarzenegger and Christopher Schwarzenegger were spotted wearing dark suits and driving off in a golf cart together en route to the wedding photo shoot.
Pratt, who began dating Schwarzenegger last summer after being introduced by her mother, had announced his and Schwarzenegger’s engagement in January on social media after dating for seven months.
It marks her first marriage and the actor’s second. Pratt was previously married to actress Anna Faris, but the couple split in 2017.
Over their year-long relationship, Pratt and Schwarzenegger, an author, have split their time between Los Angeles, where she grew up and the actor maintains his home and works, and on his farm in Washington state, E! News reports.
Faith has also played a strong role in the couple’s relationship, with a source saying that Pratt was attracted to Schwarzenegger’s strong spirituality.
“They’re very compatible and have a lot in common,” said the source. “Family is very important to both of them, as well as their spirituality.”
In April, the couple celebrated their engagement at an intimate bridal shower.
“Katherine was glowing the whole afternoon and having the best time celebrating with her friends and family,” a source told PEOPLE about the celebration, which was held at her mother Maria Shriver’s home.
“Katherine lit up when Chris arrived,” the source said of Pratt, who made an appearance later on in the bridal shower. “He also gave a sweet toast. They were adorable together and he wanted her to have all the attention.”
Prior to the wedding, a source told PEOPLE that the couple was very much on the same page about keeping their nuptials intimate.
“Chris and Katherine’s wedding will be a very intimate affair with just their closest loved ones,” the source said. “They don’t want it to be a circus. The focus will be their commitment to each other, and God will play a very large role on their big day. It’s been such a special time not just for them, but also for their families. Everyone is so excited.”
We are excited for the happy couple. Congratulations, Chris and Katherine!
