Everyone, stop what you’re doing! The trailer for Disenchanted dropped and to say that my inner child is freaking out, would be an understatement. On Nov. 1, Disney released a new, full-length trailer for the sequel to 2007’s Enchanted on their social media platforms and YouTube channel. And yes, I’ve been watching it on repeat.
Judging by the trailer, Disenchanted will follow Giselle’s move to the suburbs and struggle with her new life — that is, before a wicked curse transforms her into an evil stepmother that will put her friends, and family, in danger. If this doesn’t have the makings for a fairytale adventure, I don’t know what does.
Not only does the plot look amazing, but the cast is stacked: Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Idina Menzel, Yvette Nicole Brown, Julie Andrews, and Maya Rudolph — you know, just to name a few.
And thanks to Twitter, I know I’m not alone in my excitement for Disenchanted. How could I be?! Enchanted was one of the most popular films of Gen Z’s childhood, and a sequel coming right as we’re in the middle of growing up is, well, magic.
Can Nov. 18 come any sooner, please?
