We’re right in the middle of World Vegan Month, and Disneyland celebrated by debuting four new vegan dishes, Bustle reports.
The new antipasti salad, couscous dish, pozole-style soup, and vegan chili dog (yes, you read that right) debuted on World Vegan Day, Nov. 1, and were available through Nov. 4, according to PopSugar.
World Vegan Day began in 1994, as a way to celebrate the founding of The Vegan Society, according to the organization’s website. The Vegan Society was founded in 1944, after Donald Watson, Elsie Shrigley, and a few others decided they wanted to branch off and distinguish themselves from The Vegetarian Society.
Fast-forward to present-day, and Bustle adds that the Disneyland dishes were found at Harbour Galley, which is typically known for its seafood. While they’re no longer on the menu, Bustle was able to get a look at the descriptions on the restaurant’s website before their limited-time availability ended.

The antipasti salad had cherry tomatoes, baby artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, red onions, roasted red peppers, pepperoncini, and campanelle pasta with a vinaigrette dressing. The couscous featured grain, roasted pistachios, and marinated black mission figs with turmeric, finished with a fresh cucumber salad. It was served with roasted eggplant purée and naan. The lentil chili dog tops off a vegan hot dog with lentil chili, onions, and mustard. The pozole-style soup, the only one that appears to have stuck around past the Nov. 4 date, contains slow-roasted tomatillos, hominy, serrano peppers, lime, onion, radishes, and shredded cabbage.
