Uh-oh! Donald Trump’s former butler, 84-year-old Anthony Senecal, wrote on his personal Facebook page that President Obama, “should have been taken out by our military and shot as an enemy agent in his first term.” This is in the midst of public scrutiny direct towards Trump for the support he’s received and encouraged from white supremecists, including Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.
His statement, despite only being visible to his Facebook friends, was screenshotted and posted by Mother Jones on Thursday, along with several other violent posts from Senecal’s page. In the posts, Senecal and his Facebook friends say Obama should be hung, refer to him as a Muslim, and call him racial slurs. These posts seem to have caused enough stir for the Secret Service to investigate the matter, The New York Times reports, though Hope Hicks, a spokeswoman for the Trump campaign, said that “We totally and completely disavow the horrible statements made by him.”
Still, it appears like Mr. Senecal stands by everything he has written in his page, as he confirmed to Mother Jones: “I wrote that. I believe that.”
Despite this, however, Trump’s presidential campaign isn’t slowing down. All the other Republican candidates have dropped out, so it seems like Donald Trump will almost certainly become the Republican nominee.
