DoSomething.org Launches Campaign to Help Sexual Assault Survivors

DoSomething.org, one of the largest organizations for young people and social change, just launched a campaign to help survivors of sexual assault.

The campaign, called “Support for Survivors,” encourages college students to get their campus involved in providing resources and sharing messages of support for survivors in their college community.

Want to get involved? Here’s how!

Step 1: Did you know that one in five young women will be sexually assaulted while in college? Head to DoSomething.org to find out more about the prevalence of sexual assault and how you can help.

Step 2: Host an impromptu photo shoot with students in various locations around campus. Ask each “model” to pose with a sign featuring info on support services, along with a handwritten message of support.

Step 3: Write the message, take photos of the participants and hang the photos around campus to show your support.

Step 4: Pick your favorite message of support and share it on DoSomething.org.

The campaign ends June 30, so sign up now and make a difference on your college campus!
