On the list of weird college news stories, this has to be close to the top. A student at the University of Connecticut was arrested after being verbally and physically abusive to a student union employee. His only goal? Macaroni and cheese.
Yup. The student, identified as Luke Gatti, berated the employee until he eventually had to be tackled to the ground, all in the name of “some f–king bacon, jalepeno mac and cheese”. If that’s too much for you to believe, just check out the video of the bizarre incident that has since gone viral on YouTube (warning: it’s just a tad on the profane side):
The altercation seems to have started because Gatti tried to bring an open bottle of alcohol into the cafeteria. Quick word of advice, buddy: If you seriously wanted some cheesy goodness, you probably should have left the beer at home.
This isn’t the first time Gatti has had a run in with the law. Just last year, he was arrested twice by police while a student UMass Amherst. Gatti meanwhile has been charged with breach of peace and criminal trespass for this most recent infraction, according the Hartford Courant.
If anything else, this incident might be a reminder that no matter how bad things might seem in college…at least you’re not this guy!
